Description

The Biesse Akron 1440A Single-Sided Edge Bander is a high-performance edgebanding machine built for cabinet shops, furniture makers, and panel-processing operations that demand clean, consistent results at production speed. This fully equipped unit handles panel thicknesses from 10 to 60 mm and edge heights of 14 to 64 mm, processing coiled edge material from 0.4 to 3 mm and strip edging up to 12 mm.

With a multi-speed feed of 8 / 12 / 15 / 18 m/min, operators can match throughput to the job at hand. A complete station lineup delivers a finished, ready-to-assemble edge:

  • Pre-milling unit (2 x 0.8 kW) for a flawless bonding surface
  • Automatic edge feeding with gluing and pressure unit
  • End trimming plus top and bottom fine trimming
  • 2-motor corner rounding for radiused edges
  • Profile scraper, glue scraper, and top/bottom buffing
  • Belt pressure beam, automatic track lubrication, and narrow-piece infeed system

Powered by a 13 kW total connected load, the Akron 1440A combines Biesse engineering with a robust, well-equipped configuration for reliable daily output.
